Quick report

Quick trip up Seattle Ridge to get an inventory of recent avalanche activity between storms. I saw multiple glide avalanches, as well as evidence of widespread wet loose, dry loose, wind slab, and potentially two wet slab avalanches. It's been very active. All of the activity noted here occurred within the past 24 hours.

Snowpack

Last night's storm finished with snow down to around 1500' at Turnagain Pass. Upper elevations saw a lot of wind, and most surfaces were either scoured, loaded, or capped with a thin layer of rime. roughly 6" new snow at 3000'.

Avalanche

Widespread glide avalanche activity from Girdwood to Turnagain Pass, including more glide avalanches on Max's, Tincan, and Sunburst. A lot of wet loose and even some pockets of wet slabs at lower elevations, especially in the Tincan Trees. Multiple debris piles from avalanches that look to have failed within the new snow at upper elevations along the south side of Eddie's ridge down into upper Ingram Creek.
