We found a 14” thick windslab just below the ice bulge at the bottom of GOS main gully. The layer started at 3 inches then quickly grew to 14”. It didn’t take too much force for it to pop loose, stubborn at points but loose elsewhere. Propagation was minimal. The slab failed approximately halfway through its thickness, not on the faceted layer below. There was also a facet layer below the windslab but that was not what the slab failed on.
