Quick report
Travels from Mosquito Creek today to observe snowpack and previous avalanche activity proved fruitful. From a distance, the pictured avalanche was observed. Occurring sometime during the last 5 days, dimensions on this avalanche may be hard to estimate from far, but steep and wind loaded terrain seem a part of the recipe. In three snow profiles, almost two meters of generally strong snow can be found. Near the ground, (bottom 15cm or so), old snow has gained strength, is getting quite round, and has lots of moisture present. Old avalanche from last storm cycle. We noted no other signs of instability.

Snowpack
We dug 3 snows profile at 9000', on SE, E, and N. Snow heights were 150-180cm. We found a generally cohesive, right side up snowpack. Weak snow from November has gained a lot of strength and does not seem to be an issue at this elevation. Crust interfaces also have bonded well. No results in ECTs.
