Started tour around 11:30, and shortly after we dug the pit around 1:30pm, cardiff started getting foggy and it started to rain/mist some and got much warmer. The softish snow observed on our way up was getting a little heavier and by the time we got to the ridge and came back down, there was the faintest little zipper crust in the higher elevations of the bowl on the surface of untracked snow.

Instability Comment

Went up to George's for a walk about, we didn't experience any cracking or collapsing on our route, but dug a pit closeish to bottom of the bowl just for practice on a small NE facing roll, ~24 deg. ECTP5, failed as expected on layer of facets around 25 cm from the the ground. Total snow depth at location was 65-70cm.
