Hasty pit just outside the WMR boundary. The layer cake we found in the top meter of snow. 3 inches of new Surface Hoar Crust Facets More crust. Winds were gusting hard enough to lift the tent and transport the newly deposited snow. Thankful for the Glacier National Park Rangers, Whitefish Mountain resort, and the Flathead Nordic Backcountry Patrol for getting beacons in the hands of over 250 people!
