Avalanche: Bear Trap

This slide was triggered by skier in our party exiting Bear Trap Aspens, in the gully south of the meadow. Minor cracking was noted on the way in. Im no expert, but I imagine gullys like this have a decent amount of surface hoar underneath the new snow, since they are coldered and more sheltered from the sun. Good reminder to watch out for gullys like this.
