Avalanche
A skier triggered a large (D2) to very large (D3) avalanche on the west side of Mount Justice above North Anthracite Creek on March 20. The avalanche broke just below the skier and they cut the skier's left to avoid being caught. It started as a relatively small avalanche in the new snow and ran a couple hundred feet before stepping down to deeper buried weak layers. The avalanche was large enough to break small trees and stopped just a couple hundred feet shy of the creek.
