Quick report

We toured up to Gash knob and dug a pit at approximately 7800ft on a more south facing slope which appeared to be wind loaded. New snow totals were about 30cm. We did not experience any whumpfing or collapsing. Winds were overall moderate and with some cold gusts. It was consistently snowing all day and felt like it was getting colder throughout the day. We skied multiple laps off both sides of the knob and found the snow to be great powder-not too light, not too heavy- just right for us! ECTN 5 at 40cm ECTN 25 at 28cm
