Quick report

I travelled between 7,000 and 10,000 feet on south-southeast, east-northeast, and north aspects. There's not a lot going on out there.

  • No recent avalanches and signs of instability, even traversing steep wet solar slopes in the afternoon.
  • Surfaces: variable. Solars went from crusty to slushy. Sheltered north-facing slopes still have facet pow. Exposed areas had crusts, sastrugi, or wind board.
  • The snowpack is thin (from 1.5 ft. to 3-4 ft.) and generally faceted on north-facing terrain.
