Quick report

Several inconsequential wet loose avalanches from Thursday (4/16). Overnight weather at Marble Mnt SnoPark was just below freezing (~30*). Started on trail at 5:15a -- had to boot pack over 1.5mi (3,275'). Supportable crust started to soften by 9:00a down low and 10:00a up high. Dug a pit 7,100' on S aspect. (Just below top of "You are being monitored") 2 cm crust from overnight freezing with about 80 cm of unconsolidated snow underneath. ECT 30 taps nonreactive, followed by shovel pull but column broke off irregularly (not a consolidated chunk). With little signs of instability, we decided to step it out and skied in avalanche terrain (You are being monitored) vs South Face the Worms route.
