Quick report

No signs of current instability from a Friday afternoon thru Saturday trip. Fairly significant crust above 12-18" of sugary snow from 5500-7500'. Did not probe deeper into the snow pack or dig a pit. Weather was beautifully cloudless early Saturday, but in the 10-20F range from 5500-7500'. Solar effect, but temperatures staying low did not melt the surface crust (up to 1200 PM Saturday) resulting in a breaking crust ski day. We experienced several hours of 20-35 MPH winds thru the night, but there did not appear there was much snow available for transport at this point.

Avalanche

We observed evidence of 1-2 day-old generally smaller wet loose activity on sun exposed slopes in 4500'-5500' range. Even roller balls on a few low angle slopes in the 4500' elevation range.
