Touchy storm slabs above 8000’ in open terrain. Tree terrain seem sheltered from wind loading. Saw major wind loading on Northeast aspect of Oliver once broke ridge line. Stomp test on slope broke wind slab ~5 meters away at roughly 8750 elevation. Cornice above top of false summit released prior to our tour up.

Snowpack

Dug along skin track at 8600’, NE, 20° slope, Height of snow 110. Low strength in CT scores in new storm snow down 20. ECTV3 on initial test with full propagation on 6th tap from wrist.
