Quick report
Soft snow down low, wind blown above alder line. We saw a large slide on the ridge opposite twin peaks/ silvertip, looks like it went more recently than all of the other slides that happened during the wet storm. The avalanche looks to have failed almost at the ground, presumably on basal facets. There wasnt any snow covering up the bed surface, crown or debris of this avalanche, whereas all of the debris from the wet slides had new snow dusted on the debris and the crowns and bed surfaces were mostly covered up. This makes me think this avy occurred more recently. Crown depth looked to be at least 2 feet, and 700ft+ wide. Probing at 2800 ft on the slope opposite on twin peaks I could feel 2 feet of facets at the bottom of a dense snowpack.
