OVC and S-1 off and on. Light winds out of the northeast. 2"/0.15" of new snow on the Berthoud study plot stake.
Snowpack
On north to northeast-facing slopes near and above treeline, I found about 5cm of new snow sitting on top of 10 to 15cm of older, faceted snow. On a particularly drifted, east-facing slope above treeline, I found an Hs of around 50cm--about two-thirds of this was older, faceted snow, and the remaining third was recent snowfall.
