Quick report

I toured with an AIARE 1 Group with Golden State Guiding. I dug a pit in close proximity to theirs. No signs of instability on our tour. Small deposits of wind loading and thin wind crust in areas. New snow 2-3 inches from the night of 2/9. Clear, calm day, cold in the morning. Conducted both a CT and ECT- Resulted in a CTN and ECTX. Though we did not get a reactive test the snowpack is quite spatially variable. As you can see from the snow profile, we have a solid right side up slab sitting on those basal facets and ice layers. With the deeper snowpack, stability has increased but if it goes it could be a large concern for those in avalanche terrain.
