Several large Natural avalanches were viewed from the highway along our drive north to VA Lakes today.

We spotted a large Avalanche off of the Dana Plateau today in the liberty chute. This avalanche appears to have stepped down to weak layers near the ground. Our best guess is that this occurred during the loading event overnight on 2/6 though it could have occurred during the loading event on 2/5. It is also possible that this could have involved multiple releases.
