Excellent riding at Microwave today! We avoided steep alpine slopes and overhead hazards like cornices. We investigated the persistent weak facet/ crust interface from late January and found mixed results. We also saw a natural cornice triggered a persistent slab avalanche. Our confidence remains low with this avalanche problem and in times of uncertainty, conservative terrain choices are our best defense.
