Quick report
The next round of precipitation has arrived at Snoqualmie Pass. While snowmobiling around Microwave Hill, snowfall gradually intensified alongside increasing westerly winds. A couple inches of new snow had already accumulated on top of the December 24th crust.
Snow coverage from the Gold Creek Sno-Park is workable but remains very thin. Low elevations still hold a few patches of bare pavement, while mid-elevations support closer to 2 feet of snow. I chose to stay on the snow-covered road to avoid getting tangled in trees or striking exposed rocks.

Precipitation intensified throughout the outing. Mostly rain fell at the parking lot, but it quickly changed to snow a coupled hundred feet higher. Wind was mostly light, with moderate gusts in exposed areas. Visibility was poor due to low-hanging clouds.
Snowpack
The snowpack remains very thin up to 5,000 feet. At mid-elevations, I measured 50–65 cm (20–25 inches) of snow on the ground, while low elevations held closer to 30 cm (about 1 foot) of coverage. The crust that formed on December 24th was buried beneath a couple inches of new snow. I expected this crust to be stout and supportive, but it proved surprisingly thin and punchy. Snowfall intensified as I returned to the car.
