Soft dry snow 6-12" above supportive crust. Experienced minor cracking ~4" deep when traversing wind loaded terrain. Blowing snow present near ridgeline. Snow surface wind textured throughout our descent path but didn't appear to be significantly wind stiffened. Column test and hand pit both failed to yield concerning results prior to descent. Slope appeared stable, but nearby slopes in the resort did slide.
