It was raining on us as we left Bunny Flat around 11:00am today. Runnels could be seen in the snow in this area and approximately the lower 500 feet of Green Butte Ridge/lower Broadway. Breaking trail the snow was heavy and felt almost like paste. Weather cleared and visibility improved significantly allowing for views of Avalanche Gulch. As the sky cleared the temperatures dropped and the surface snow developed a delightful crust that made skiing a bit challenging. We kicked on a few test slopes and didn't see any results except for on a steep undercut slope that failed roughly 14" down.
