Snowpack
We toured W-N-E aspects of Mt. Judah between 7,600' and 8,200'. A 1 cm P to K hard rain crust covered the snow surface on all aspects. In some areas this crust was supportable, in other areas it was breakable. This rain crust just started to thin as we approached 8,200'. On open solar aspects the snow surface was in melt phase with some spring-like surface wet snow conditions where the rain crust had melted. On N aspects, the faceted snow in between the rain crusts and at ground level was wet with some amount of strength gain occurring.
