Quick report
Skinned along the ridge from the Cog to Jefferson. With shifting/northeast winds, we encountered lots of variability on all aspects and low to moderate wind affected snow. Scouted Stealth Gully: At the lip, there was 5” of upright snow on top of a wind/solar crust. On the more easterly aspect of the gully, where the new snow has not bonded with the crust, a D1 dry loose was triggered from above. We turned around and enjoyed lower angle skiing in the sun.
