Temperature between 25-35F today. Strong to Extreme SW winds with intense wind transport observed. HN24 appeared to be in the 6-12”depending on elevation. Below 9000’ the new snow was high density and moist in nature. Excellent ski quality throughout the terrain visited today.

SS-ASc-R3D2-I-1000’ Skier triggered avalanche in Fern Grotto while ski cutting the slope prior to skiing. The crown ranged from 10-36”. The avalanche ran 1000’ and had a fall of 1000 vertical feet. Debris ranged from 2-3’ in depth.
