Quick report

Cracking
specific

Generally stable conditions as I climbed up to the south face of the Steel cliffs. But there were plenty of loaded terrain along east facing ridge lines

Avalanche

White river glaicer ~9000’ , east aspect , crown depth 6”<3’, crown line ~200’ , Naturally triggered, D1.5. While skiing a lap into white river I noticed this avalanche. Since the slope has slid I decided to ski across to gain the ridge. The slope had been re loaded with more wind slab, near the crest of the ridge I was experiencing sooting cracks with little propagation 12” deep. I would expect areas that haven’t slid will produce pretty large avalanches.
