Quick report
It's haggard out there, but nice that the crust is 90% supportable on skis or board, and perhaps it will freeze further before getting buried. Nice to stretch the legs.

Moderate West winds in the teens, decreasing. A cloud ceiling rose from 8 to 8.5k' midday. No precip. No visiblity to seeing blowing snow in the alpine if it were there and none available for transport near treeline.
Snowpack
A 1" surface rain crust up to at least 8000' formed Friday night, which we will probably call the 12/6 crust. In places, there were an additional 1-2 thin rain crusts immediately below that. Inconsistent long column tests and no failures in the weaker snow by the ground.
The snow was consistently 40cm or 1-1.5' deep. A boot would punch in 1ft, while skis floated on the crust.
