Warm temperatures with clear skies today on Tamarack Peak. Wind were calm to light.
Snowpack
I went to Tamarack Peak today to look at snowpack conditions. Northerly aspects are holding around 2' of snow with a firm base in this area. With that said, there are still plenty of obstacles to hit or carefully avoid. Moving off of northerly terrain decreases snow depth and quality quickly. Previous East winds from last week have scoured wind exposed areas at higher elevations. The upper snowpack is faceting and providing good snow quality where you can find untouched snow.
