Snowpack

The Peak 3 gully has significantly more snow in the gully than our last visit to the area.  Snow depth varied from bare ground to over 10' of snow in the center of the gully. There is connected snow from the summit of Peak 3 to the remainder of the gully. It was still difficult to find connected snow to the trailhead- outside of the gully is sparse coverage with exposed rocks, shrubs, and alders. The snowpack structure was primarily a dense hard wind slab with a thin layer of developed basal facets at the base. We are not currently worried about the facets at the base of the snowpack, but it is something we are monitoring. We noted near-surface faceting starting which was softening the snow surface.  We also noted ski tracks in the Glen Alps Area- on False Peak, Little O'Malley, and The Ramp.
