Quick report

Cracking
isolated

5cm of new snow over a hard crust at 3,000ft on N-aspect that became wind-swept in the alpine. Variable surfaces include soft wind-affected snow, re-frozen melt-freeze crusts, and denser wind slabs. Isolated areas where the wind slab was present had shooting cracks. Temperatures were on the colder side with light winds and sunny weather as clouds increased into the afternoon. No signs that alpine slopes experienced daytime warming.
