Quick report

Pockets of hard wind slab up to 2" thick above 5200' with pockets of windblown powder in-between. Dry cold powder in between 3000' and 5200'. Stout melt freeze crust below 3000'. Evidence of active transport of available snow in previous 24hrs with hardened windblown snow in skin tracks, gusts causing some active transport during tour. Did not dogna pit, no whoompfing, no shooting cracks. Wx was clear, sunny, with sustained winds up to 10mph, gusts up to ~20mph. Two large cornices at peak and wind slab above 5200' were a bit spooky but overall I felt comfortable with the terrain and my observations. Skied great 👍
