Found stable conditions below 1000' in terrain sheltered by old growth trees. Above 1000' found a variety of surface conditions that ranged from 6 inch tall Sastrugi, Wind slab ( 4 finger-Pencil), and soft wind recycled snow (orange peel). Stability was generally good except for directly below ridges where short shooting cracks (< 6 feet) and up to 6 inches in depth indicated isolated -specific areas of instability. Stability tests at 900' produced ECTX and PST END 90/100 down 45 cms 1/25 rain crust/facet combo, HS 165 cms. Stability tests at 2200' produced ECTN21 @ 40 cms 2/23 BSH ( Appeared to be rounding and comprised mostly of DF's and NSFs.) and PST END 55/100 down 85 cms 1/25 rain crust/facet combo. All interfaces of concern were observed to be rounding and gaining strength/HS 290cms.
Shooting cracks were confined to the top 2-6 inches and were only observed in specific locations. These included lee side of terrain features and cross loaded terrain above 1200'.Weather

Overcast skies and calm winds no precip up to 3pm. After 3, Light snowfall and moderate north winds moved in with continued overcast skies.
Snowpack
The top 1 meter of snow showed fair structure, good strength and no significant signs of propagation at 900' and 2200' in snowpits. Signs of instability were limited to just below ridge lines and cross loaded terrain up to 6 inches in depth.
Avalanche
The only avalanche activity that was observed were a couple shallow wind slab releases (D1) @ 2000'/ ~ 20 feet wide that appered to be about 24 hours old.
