Spotted this cornice triggered wind slab while ascending the banana belt ridge. Avalanche occurred on steep rocky east facing ridge near banana belt ski run. We did not visualize a defined debris pile from the ridge. As we descended lower we did see refrigerator sized peices of the cornice. No ski tracks observed near the ridge or cornice. Throughout the day we observed obvious wind loading on east and northeast facing slopes.
