We spent the day ski touring in the area around Wahoo Pass. Snow stability seemed to have improved from earlier in the week, and we did not see any natural avalanches. I dug a quick pit at 7200 feet on a north slope, and confirmed that the surface hoar was still present, but was now buried under around 50cm of 4f hardness snow. On the way back to the road at the end of the day, I triggered an avalanche on an ESE slope at 7760 feet. I was caught, but was able to ski out of the debris.
