Quick report

Cracking
isolated

Lots of trees down on the approach before the creek crossing. After the crossing there are a few more down but nothing that can’t be bypassed. The skiing in the bowl was actually quite good. We measured a snow depth of 120cm, and it snowed lightly through the day. We dug to investigate the storm snow to rain crust interface, and found it to be less reactive than expected. The pit we dug resulted in ECTN13 40 cm down at the rain crust. The top of the crust consisted of rounding facets or melt forms, I couldn’t quite tell. Air temp was about 28F. Overall ski conditions were far better than expected!
