Travel conditions remain challenging. The only soft snow we found was on flat terrain. South and west aspects were a mix of crusts and debris. Widespread surface hoar remained even in the sun. Transcendent experience skiing the “trough of doom” down the forest road. No instabilities observed

Clear, calm, cold. Strong solar input especially in the afternoon.
Snowpack
Widespread surface hoar observed. Crusts on most aspects, some breakable and some supportive. Weak snow observed below the crust in some locations. Up to 5cm of faceted snow on top of crust in shady and flat terrain.
