- <p>Generally no red flags that I observed, but the new snow and the bump in winds has likely formed some sensitive wind drifts off the ridge lines. The new snow felt like it was getting a little slabby and dense as the afternoon went on, but I did not see much avalanche activity. This storm did not seem to tip the scales, but the next round of snow, wind and water could get things active?</p>
A nice refresh for the Uintas with about 10" or so which helped soften things a little bit, although the old tracks tracks and hard surface are still felt.
Only saw this small piece of fresh cornice that broke off and entrained the new snow on Double Hill.

- <p>The little bit of terrain I could see today, there was not much natural avalanche activity and this storm did not appear to change things too much. There was one very small fresh piece of cornice that broke off Double Hill and entrained the new snow, but that was about all I observed.</p> <p>The winds today from the northwest were light and not changing the hazard where I traveled, but I did notice the textured look of Double Hill from stronger winds early in the storm.</p>
At the trail head this morning there was about 4-5"of slightly damp snow, while out in the Whitney Basin I found generally 10-12" of medium density snow that helped to soften the hard tracks and firm snow underneath.
