Quick report
W-SE aspects held wet snow today and should be crusty and slick as temperatures drop in the coming days. Shaded N-E aspects above 6000 ft are a mixed bag of old wind-drifted snow, scoured ice, and sastrugi. Wind-protected dry snow is hard to come by but does exist in the most sheltered, shaded pockets.

Snowpack
I went out to investigate the extent of warming along solar aspects and gather information about surface conditions along shaded aspects in Heather Canyon. While the snow on W-SE aspects became wet, I struggled to find much wet loose activity other than a few stray rollerballs. Ski cuts along steep solars didn't produce any moving snow.
Shaded aspects above 6000 ft consist of a mixed bag of old wind-drifted snow, sastrugi, faceting snow, and scoured ice. Surfaces varied, but ski quality wasn't horrible.
