Quick report
Went out to Kwolh on Sat. Excellent snow in the trees, a little more wind affected up high in the open. Did a few runs in the trees with excellent still-light pow. A quick probe on the skin up in the trees showed ~3 ft base. No cracking etc observed on the way up or down or evidence of any natural activity… except that it was starting to get pretty windy at times, almost filling in the uppermost exposed section of the skin track between runs. Did one run of the top down the main east face, which was a little more wind affected and variable, and occasionally feeling the previous layer below, but overall still great riding conditions. Cleared up and was somewhat calmer by the afternoon when we left, but the next storm was definitely rolling in. With higher winds incoming I would expect to see some windslab formation from this one.
