A rider in our group started to side hill, which is the riders left. As he turned up hill at the dead tree (left edge of slide) and continued across the hill he noticed that it had broke loose. At this point he turned down the hill and was able to out run the slide, but at the one point he was carried by the snow as he exited the slide.
