Quick report
I saw no signs of instability where I traveled today. Snowpack was super supportive and travel conditions were excellent given the amount of snow on the ground. I traveled cautiously and rode low angle slopes. The riding was very good (8 out of 10 dad pow riding conditions) down to about 7500ft when you start to see more down trees lurking just below the snow. I rode all the way down to the valley trail with no issue and split skied to the parking lot. If you're headed out this way I suggest taking the summer trail to the valley trail because all the creeks still have open water and crossings are limited. I didn't do any snow pack tests other than pole probes and hand pits but my overall impression is that the dense snow we received 12/5 was a blessing for low elevation travel but has help create a cohesive slab above whatever old/weak snow was present before this storm. Most everything I saw today confirmed the avy forecast for the day. Trailhead to 7500ft HS 12-16inches. Good supportable travel. only about 4-6 inches of ski penetration while skinning. 7500ft-8500ft HS 16in-30in. Travel significantly improves above 8500ft with 3-4 inches of ski penetration while skinning and the amount of hazards lurking starts to diminish the higher you go above 8500 (note that other locations might be very different depending on what's under the snow.) 8500-9975 HS 30-60inch*Location dependent.
