Quick report
I started a ski tour a little late at 0930 ended at 1130. Clear skies and no wind. Temp was around 28F. Totally benign terrain on service roads. 6,900ft-7,300ft. I had difficulty breaking trail with ski's. Each step would sink mid-boot. Ski boots post holed me down to the ground/ waist deep. I noticed a top crust layer from what I believe was rain at random times during the storm. I found a north facing test slope and dug a pit that showed ~70cm total depth with ~60cm as the newest snow. From what I observed the snow was compressing top down, the ground level facets were consolidating and had good adherence to the new snow. I would still be cautious, stay out of avalanche terrain, go with friends, and let the snow settle for a few more days. Because of the snow softness obstacles still exists. I also observed 20+ vehicles at the entrance to HWY 108 and Silver Creek road which would make it a busy day at the Bridgeport Winter Rec Area.
