Quick report

Surface observation: 25cm "new" snow (1 or 2 inches a night for several nights) over the Feb 6 crust. Sometimes bonded really well, sometimes so un-bonded that travel was difficult. We couldn't figure why other than we found more un-bonded higher, and more bonded lower. Maybe a temperature issue during the first snow over the crust? We found low density but tall surface hoar crystals in an open meadow at 6400'. Isolated column tests: no result technically, but on 32, one column failed below the feb 6 crust (which measured 30cm thick!) and another on about 40 extra hard whacks failed below the solstice crust. We like the idea that the Feb 6 crust is the "new ground"
