Mission Peak area, about 20 cm of new sitting on a durable rain crust. Skiing terrain we had been avoiding and had a few slough, and saw a few point releases that did not propagate. Had a slope release about 100 feet wide with a 20 cm crown probably ran 50-60 feet vertical. Dug a quick pit to see. East aspect, 5800 elevation, HS 150cm, shovel shear revealed a weak contact 20cm, column test, failure 10cm on 3, 20cm on 13, 25cm on 30 ( crust interface) Rain crust 40 cm thick.
