Today I toured in the McCully basin from 6000' to 9000'. Winds were calm, temps in the mid 20s, and it was mostly clear. There was great snow to be skied on avalanche resistant terrain below 30 degrees at all elevations! I saw several natural avalanches from the last few days, and also experienced collapsing in flat sheltered areas near 7500'. I observed the avalanches on north and southeast slopes between 7500' and 9000' (see photos). I did not get close enough to investigate the bed surfaces, but based on the crown heights, they all appear to have released within our February snowfall likely on our 2/8 or 2/14 interfaces. I avoided wind-loaded slopes today, but it was clear by looking across the basin that there had been wind loading within the last 24 hours. I did a profile and test pit at 8300' on a north aspect and found a propagating faceted layer below our February snow down 50cm (ECTP19 down 50).
