Quick report
New snow fell overnight, but without wind in lower and mid elevations. Weather was comfortable and benign all day, but with sun in morning and more cloud cover by afternoon. Winds stayed on the very light side all day from 6000-7000', and did not appear to be blowing much at higher elevations as well. Did observe surface hoar and graupel from overnight weather in protected and shaded areas on uphill at 6500' in the trees at 1300. No signs of instability

Cloud cover varied from mostly sunny (SCT) during AM, to BKN and overcast by PM. Wind was very light all day from SSW. No blowing snow at ridgetops observed. New snow was light density in early morning, but had become heavy and thick by late afternoon from sun and warming. S-1 to S-2 snow with a small bit of graupel fell intermittently during mid-afternoon. No real accumulation.
Snowpack
See pit profile. HS = 108 cm at pit location; varied in depth from lower elevations (less snow), and obvious scouring and shallow depth on nearby SE-S aspects @ 6900'. Snow pack has no obvious slab present; is mostly fairly faceted except for 3 distinct P-hardness crusts identified in previous avalanche forecasts. All layers appear to be well-bonded. Hand shear in top 30 cm had no slab or weakness between loose snow-crust interface. Snowpit results; CTN, ETCX.
