No avy activity seen. Found cracking underfoot in wind loaded areas. Saw roller balls on SE-SW slopes from 11am onwards, up to cheese-wheel size! No new snow, W wind gusts to 15 mph on ridge tops. CT 14, ECT 14 on density changes in the new snow above the rain crust from AR event. Weaknesses around and under rain crust were not reactive but drew attention. Wet, hot pow with shallow conditions drew us towards low angle slopes. Stability didn't inspire any confidence. As for riding conditions: From the airstrip, pure packed ice on the road until 4,500. Above 5,500 ft, road riding was worthwhile. Lake Elsina wasn't quite frozen enough to ride over unless you like to risk it.
