We found some sensitive new wind slabs (1.5 ft deep) on SW slopes that were easily with a ski cut.

Awesome turns (face shots) in sheltered NE terrain between 9700 and 7800 ft. One can no longer feel the rain crust between 7800 and 6500 ft. From 6500 to 5000 the rain crust is still noticeable.

Instability Comment

Wind slabs were the main concern today. We avoided skiing wind loaded terrain.

Snow was light and dry in sheltered terrain (NE facing slopes). SW slopes on ridge lines were blown clean, hard pack and slick.
