Rode the Seattle Ridge tour from Triangle bowl over to Main bowl then out. -6F when we left the lot, felt warmer up higher, no wind to speak of with clear skies. 2-4” of dry powder on top of a crust of varying strength and thickness. At times the sleds wouldn’t break through at all, other times it was quite soft. Dug a hand pit on the southwest side of Main bowl, which was probably wind loaded. 4” of dust on top of a breakable, 2-3” crust, with more granular snow below. Crust whumping and cracking in the immediate vicinity, but did not propagate. Multiple glide cracks look looked like they had recently released in Main and Triangle.

Avalanche

Large glide crack release on southwest end of main bowl. Crown looked to be 2-3’ by 200’ across, traveled to bottom of bowl.
