Prior to the avalanche my partner noted shooting crack in the same area.
Avalanche
I triggered an avalanche skiing over a steep bench/roller. It was probably 25ft wide and ran about 50ft to the next bench. The crown was about 2.5ft deep. The weak later looked like surface hoar. I was able to ski off the debris as the slide was initiated.
