Weather

Around noon it was S1 with moderate winds gusting strong from the NW below treeline.

Snowpack

We dug a pit on a WNW aspect at 11,600' near treeline. The height of snow was 110 cm. We found surface hoar sitting over 40 cm of faceted snow. The Thanksgiving storm snow is over an old 1F wind slab that is rounding, but it sits over a decomposing melt freeze crust. These layers did not produce any propagating results in an ECT.
