Quick report

Stable conditions on all aspects where we traveled with no recent wind transport/loading.  Faceting in the upper snow pack and surface hoar may create unstable conditions when additional snowfall arrives.

Snowpack

Surface hoar of up to 1cm is forming on surface crusts that vary in thickness from 1-3 cm.  Some decomposing (knocking down) of surface hoar due to wind/sun exposure, especially on westerly aspects. Below the surface crust are facets throughout upper snowpack layers, with the top 30 cm especially unconsolidated, particularly on the north aspects. Crust exists at 30 cm amd 80 cm below the surface with no reactivity. CT 18 @ 30cm below the surface (north aspect only); broke within the layer rather than on a crust.
